Wordsworth House and Garden (Cockermouth, 1 mile/5 mins), Whinlatter Forest (6 miles/15 mins), Bassenthwaite Lake (7 miles/18 mins) and Allonby Beach (9 miles/20 mins) are all within easy reach.
