About Udford House Edenhall Estate

Udford House Edenhall Estate is a spacious country lodge in Penrith, Cumbria. This 4-star property sits in the gorgeous Lake District with far-reaching countryside views that'll make your jaw drop. Six bedrooms sleep 12 people so it's perfect for big family gatherings or that weekend away with mates you've been planning since forever.

The location is brilliant. You're surrounded by peaceful countryside but just 2 miles from shops and pubs. The massive garden gives you privacy while being close enough to Ullswater for day trips. Want adventure? Go walking, cycling, fishing or golf. Fancy something different? Try alpaca walking or tour a boutique gin distillery (and yes, samples are the best part).

The accommodation is seriously impressive. There's one super-king zip-and-link bed (can be twins), two king-size bedrooms and three twin rooms. You get three bathrooms including an en-suite with bath and separate shower. The kitchen has an electric range, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There's even a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer for when the kids inevitably fall in mud.

Visit Ullswater Steamers (15 minutes), explore Penrith Castle (10 minutes), or wander through Lowther Castle and gardens (20 minutes). All close enough that even the kids won't have time to ask "are we there yet?"

Udford House Edenhall Estate is ideal for anyone wanting quality time together. The hot tub is absolute heaven after a day exploring - nothing beats bubbles under the stars with a favourite drink.

We had such a lovely stay! The place was really spacious, perfect for our big group with both kids and adults. There was loads of equipment and utensils, which was great since we cooked a festive dinner during our visit. The rooms were massive, spotlessand beautifully decorated, especially the Xmas tree by the log fire. Honestly, we couldn't ask for more - we'll definitely be back!
