Barn Owl Bothy is a studio apartment converted in 2018 from a 16th-century farmhouse on Wallace Lane Farm. Sitting on the northern fringes of the Lake District National Park near Brocklebank, it sits within 23 acres of land alongside six other holiday properties. Panoramic views stretch across the Solway Coast to the Scottish hills. Wildlife is everywhere on the farm.
The Northern Fells are on your doorstep for walking. Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall are within easy reach. The village of Caldbeck with a pub, tea rooms and a shop is just 2½ miles away. The beach is 16¾ miles out.
The studio sleeps up to 4 guests. It's all on the first floor with an open-plan living and bedroom area.

Hadrian's Wall (approx. 18 miles, 30 mins), Carlisle Castle (approx. 14 miles, 25 mins), Caldbeck village (2½ miles, 7 mins) and the Solway Coast AONB (approx. 16 miles, 28 mins) are all nearby.

The nearest railway station is Dalston, approximately 10 miles from the property. From there a local taxi will get you to Wallace Lane Farm it's worth arranging this in advance as rural taxi services can be limited.
