Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway (5.5 miles, 12 mins), Muncaster Castle (11 miles, 20 mins), Hardknott Roman Fort (11 miles, 25 mins) and Wastwater (6.5 miles, 15 mins) are all within easy reach.
The wood-fired hot tub on the terrace is the centrepiece. Watch alpacas, donkeys and sheep wander the smallholding, with the fells rising beyond as the sun goes down.
