Great place to stay. Great host and the most well equipped kitchen I've ever seen. Could do with a bit of tlc but superb for what we wanted.
Peel Place Noddle was the perfect place for our family holiday of 6 adults ,2 grandchildren ages 5 & 3 & Bob the border terrier. The moment we walked in we felt at home. The house was welcoming, comfortable & clean. The garden was well fenced so safe for Bob. The children still needed supervision because of steps & boulders but a wonderful place for them to play. The kitchen was well equipped with baking utensils though a few items needed an extra clean before use. A mix match of glasses. There were a couple of issues with the plumbing, which didn't spoil our holiday. The owner of the property was friendly & easy to contact to inform of the situation. This house is situated in the most perfect place with fantastic views, a good hot tub & the fun of having the La'al Ratty railway running past the garden. Good walks on the doorstep but also a good base to visit other areas of the Lakes & the Eskdale Green railway station a 200 yards away. Suitable parking for 3 cars. We had a wonderful holiday & would certainly return for another visit.
The property is amazing! The gardens beautiful. Excellent accomodation, very quirky, home from home plenty of room for 10 people including 2 under 5s. Our autistic Grandaughter loved the snug to escape to. Only downside was the checking in and out times. The house was large and with 10 people sharing it so was difficult to clean it to high standard when vacating the property. An earlier checking in time would make the experience more enjoyable as well.
Peel place always feels like coming home. The location is great for exploring this part of the Lakes and peel place makes a great starting point.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The location is perfect, and the home itself is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with plenty of kitchen utilities ideal for a large group gathering. The area was incredibly quiet, which made it even more relaxing and enjoyable. The host was fantastic communication was smooth throughout, and he was always easily reachable whenever we needed anything. And of course, the hot tub was the highlight of our stay definitely the main attraction for all of us! Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and comfortable group getaway!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful property. The space was very spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for relaxing. The views were absolutely stunning and something we looked forward to every day. The host Miles was incredibly accommodating, always responsive, and made sure everything was seamless from start to finish. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it.
Lovely cottage based on its own, clean facilities with comfy beds, only thing Id comment on would be the driveway through into the cottage, if you have a car bigger than a 1. 2L Id reccomend parking in the railway parking as its a very very tight squeeze but its not a far walk to the cottage from there! Other than the parking dilema we had a perfect stay and would definitely recommend others!

We had a fantastic time staying at Peel Place Noddle. Miles was a great host, he called ahead of the trip to provide recommendations for local walks and pubs. He also called while I was driving down to warn me about flooding and give me alternative directions. We had a power cut due to the storm and again Miles was very helpful and kept us updated with when the power was due to come back on. The house and gardens are gorgeous as is the local area, and the Eskdale train station is really close although unfortunately due to the storm we couldn't use it. I would highly recommend this house and we can't wait to book again!

A return visit for the King family and Peel Place Noddle once again lived up to our expectations. Thank you Miles for the contact before our visit. The children loved the garden and the hot tub was great fun. We all enjoyed riding the Ratty and visiting the local pubs. The weather was wonderful which always helps. A good time was had by all. This place feels more like a house swap than a soulless holiday let. It's a lovely big old house in an incredible location. It is a bit warn and lived in, but that's the charm of it, like a real home from home. The views are stunning, and Eskdale is a fantastic part of the Lakes to explore. The owner, Miles, was very welcoming and helpful. I hope to return one day for another soak in the hot tub.

This is a first class property, we had a great family weekend. The only negative is the 9.30am check out, even an extra hour would make a difference. We did however have a lovely day in Keswick on the way home.

Amazing house with beautiful views! The owner was so helpful accommodating our requests and was on hand to answer any questions.
The house is set in a stunning location. Stunning views. It was clean and comfortable. our only disappointment was that the hot tub jets werent all working or didnt seem to be working properly so no real bubbling effect. It was great that there was a fresh supply of plenty of towels. Tea and coffee was plentiful enough for the weekend. My only advice for the hosts would be an extra supply of toilet rolls would have been useful as well as salt and pepper, only as we had forgotten ours. The garden was a haven to wildlife, we saw a deer, sheep and lots of birds all came to visit. We were all mesmerised by the steam strain going past, certainly entertained the children. Over all an enjoyable stay

Could not recommend this place enough. It was absolutely beautiful to stay in and the outdoor space was just amazing. We had plenty of space and complete quiet around us. Was accessible to all hotspots and we spent all week exploring. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Another great stay at Peel Place Noddle, three generations again and everyone enjoyed the trains at the bottom of the garden. Owner extremely helpful and we would highly recommend this cottage in a beautiful and quiet part of the Lakes.

Beautiful house, everything as described. Only small criticism is the kitchen and appliances are ageing and whilst everything and more is supplied the kitchen and its equipment could do with a deep clean subjective I realise.
Lovely cottage in the heart of peaceful Eskdale! Well equipped with lots of space both inside and out with stunning views over the fells. The owner, Miles, is extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful location and fabulous views. Peel Place had everything we needed for a family weekend away. One of the best equipped holiday rentals we have been to. Very clean and tidy. Ample space for 6 Adults and 3 small children. The children loved the garden. The Ratty running at the bottom of the garden was a delight for all. We would certainly book again.

When we arrived after a long journey, the kitchen table was ready set, which gave a welcoming impression straight away. It is in a very peaceful and beautiful setting. Extremely beautiful location, very very quiet and with no light pollution. Lovely walks all around. The house is lovely too with all the amenities you need for a holiday home. Hot tub is a wonderful addition. Just remember to bring your flipflops for when you get out! We were fortunate enough to have snow on the fells, which enhanced their rugged beauty. Miles is soo very kind and helpful. We are definitely coming again next year.

Ideal location and property for an active family holiday exploring both mountains and coast . Lovely grounds with superb views. Owner helpful and readily contactable. No recycling facilities and none in the village, ended up bring home.
Great cottage for a group of friends on a walking holiday. Facilities are all you need and not so upmarket that you worry about using anything. The south western corner of the lakes is easily accessible from here and there are loads of pubs around and the well stocked village shop is close by. Some reviews worry about the entrance drive but we had a large estate car and it was fine, just take some care, no problem.

Just home after a 3 night stay. . Lovely quirky property with plenty of room. Secluded garden with a hot tub. It is like living in someone's home so don't expect 5 star. Some areas do need a bit of tlc or repairs but that never put us off, nor would it make me give a negative review. The road up is quite challenging and awkward. We were in a Q5 and that is about the maximum sized vehicle you would get through to the drive. Also the crossing at the rail track would be no good if your car is low to the ground. It is very secluded, no phone reception at all suited me, but the WiFi is great kept kids happy and the views are amazing. Pub down the road was great, never went in to the village. Stanley Ghyll waterfall is well worth the walk. We will return, hopefully the weather is better next time.

The property is fantastic! Loved how homely and welcoming it felt and the surrounding area is stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again, I was amazed at the amount of logs and coal supplied for the fire, Its really rare to have that much, but just added to the convenience of the property, apologies but on the way home I remembered that we hadn't moved the green sofa back to the window bay, I hope you didn't mind us leaving you a few beers in the kitchen Thanks again for letting us stay in your wonderful home.

We had a lovely weekend at Peel Place celebrating 2 family birthdays. The house is very large yet cosy and warm with the central heating that seemed quite recently installed. We didnt light the living room fire as it wasnt needed. The beds were comfy and the duvet covers were good quality. Also loved all the fluffy white towels provided. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was great! Was a bit dark in the garden could probably do with a light round there. We liked that the house was quirky and full of character and the views from the property are amazing.

We absolutely loved our stay at Peel place noodle. It is a very remote location and so peaceful which may be a little too quiet for some but perfect for what we wanted. The heating seemed to be newly installed as i noted some comments previously had said it was very cold but we managed to keep it just right and the fire was perfect for getting cosy on the cold frosty nights. We were really impressed with the facilities especially for the cost. Very reasonable and cannot wait to return with other family

The cottage was the perfect base but it could do with some maintenance. A few windows wouldnt open and had cracked panes. The carpets are a little thin in places and have holes. The kitchen cupboard werent very clean and doors could do with replacing. The fridge should have been cleaned before we arrived. The hot tub was great and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay but feel this things should be pointed out.
The holiday home is very well kept with everything you could need for a week away in the lakes. The owner is very accommodating even calling us when we arrived and running through the local amenities. The location is ideal with a number of good walks on the doorstop. Would recommend the cottage to anybody looking to stay in the Lake District
