The Chard is a single-storey elegant cottage in Carwinley, a quiet hamlet in northern Cumbria, just 3. 4 miles from Longtown and close to the Scottish border. Part of the Lakelovers collection, this is one of two countryside retreats at Carwinley Retreats. It sits within four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Solway Coast, Northumberland National Park, North Pennines and the Lake District.
The setting is genuinely peaceful. Rolling fields surround the property and guests regularly wake up to local wildlife. The garden is a real highlight featuring a private hot tub, covered decked dining area, fire pit, lawn seating and a pond. It's private and quiet.
