Riverside Cottage No 3 Reviews

Sharon
Beautiful cottage with all the amenities we needed. Loved the hot tub.
We stayed in cottage number 3 with 4 adults a two year old and a 4 week old baby and it was bliss. Spotless clean & all we needed in facilities We loved the area the river swimming and how peaceful it was, we were there in the heat wave and didnt venture out much so I cooked in that lovely kitchen each night and it was perfect we loved it. Slept sound in the comfy beds Only thing I would suggest is some plastics for the toddlers and a hoover so I could have left it cleaner on departure. Thanks low briery cant wait to come back with extended family possibly booking a few houses in a row
The Cottage the property is lovely, the beds were comfy, however we were disappointed the provisions were very basic, we had shopped before we arrived bringing food and cleaning products expecting to see at the very least some salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar and washing up liquid yes there was a dishwasher but we wash up and clean every day for at least a first drink after travelling, we may have been spoilt in previous properties but we've always been left a welcome notepack even dog treats and wine, but nothing, even check wasn't that welcoming, having to ring for someone to check me in and the gent wasn't that interested and wanted to get off back to were he'd been chatting to some others staff in what turned out to be right next to our cottage. I had to ask for more toilet paper as we were given one and a half rolls for 5 people over a week and was begrudgingly given two more. I knew there was no washing machine but there is no washing facilities on site so we had to had wash all our wet gear and towels, radiators had to be put on to dry everything which were not great, bear in mind we were walking in the rain, swimmingkayaking, using the hot tub so we had a lot of wet gear, I did ask for more towels as we were struggling to dry stuff and the gent did give us a couple more and an airer but it didn't help much. We tried to keep the property clean with having a dog but the hoover provided was fit for nothing we had to use the hand brush and pan to sweep every day, btw the cleaners are obviously not sweeping under the chairs as we swept more than a couple of weeks mess! Location this was perfect for a base and the setting was beautiful Privacy be aware that if you have a hot tub we didn't book for the hot tub it was a bit if a bonus don't expect privacy, we were on an end property of three Cottage 3 with hot tubs and people came in with no notice to check hot tubs twice a day using our gate to access all three, there is no privacy fence next to the lane overlooking and run down shed and building mess dumped in the lane next to the property, we had a dog walker come have a good look at us in the tub, people just coming down the lane to look around, on one of the nights we had kids not staying on site climbing the wall directly behind our cottage to fish, we WhatsApp'd the management team, they called us but there were no staff on site to deal with them, so we had to tell them to leave ourselves, my husband had to go on site to make sure they had left! no follow up from staff the next day. All in all we didn't feel welcomed at Low Briory more a hindrance, there's lots of rules and regs at this place and little help
Low Briery is a superb holiday village. The staff are so friendly & accommodating. It's a fantastic spot on the river just 20 minute walk from Keswick. We will definitely be visiting again.
