Nuthatch Cottage Reviews

Having more privacy regarding hot tub going on between the cottage and tub as full view of other campers using field at back of cottage. Not enjoyable when people are looking over at you.

Second time at this property, stayed in August 2020 and now in September 2024. Well maintained and laid out accommodation. Big sized kitchen with all necessary implements for self catering. Two good sized bedrooms with generous storage space. Two shower rooms with extremely vigorous water pressure. Lovely toiletries too. The patio area is private being close to the tree lined stream is nice and the bird life is awesome.. The Hot Tub is fantastic, although maybe a cover of some sorts would be nice as the leaves and needles from the trees have a tendency to fall in whilst you are relaxing, although you can sieve them out. There is a shop on site offering essentials and those forgotten items which is very handy. The whole complex where the camping area is along with the Lodges is really well laid out and makes for an enjoyable walk around. The Fairy Garden area through the wood and over a stream is lovely. I even left a couple of additions to it. The closest little village is Caldbeck which is well worth a look around. Wigton, the main town is also good especially the Fish and Chips at Gina's Plaice. The team that run the place are very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for both a couple or two and of course a family. Ideally situated for exploring this area of Cumbria.
