New Lodge Applethwaite Hall Reviews

Jenni
We had a fantastic stay here. Very clean throughout, with a well equipped kitchen and big comfortable sofa and beds. Great mod cons...we especially loved the stereo system! The hot tub was a great way to end each day, with the peace of mind of the dog not escaping the garden, which is fully enclosed with high walls. The location was peaceful and perfect for exploring the lake district. We'd definitely visit again, hopefully we less rain next time!
Susan
Highly recommend New Lodge. The accommodation is gorgeous, comfortable, beautifully kitted out and the outdoor space and hot tub perfect. My husband and dog had a relaxing stay and really loved everything about this cottage and location. Definitely be back.
Jenny
Bam Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The cottage had everything you could need and some welcome touches like the coffee machine and fans in each bedroom. The hot tub was great, especially after long walks during the day. Fantastic to have your own parking space. We walked to Windermere regularly (mainly down the track and along the road but there is a more scenic footpath) and enjoyed the restaurants there. Thank you for the welcome gifts.
Richard
Lovely cottage, the kitchen is very well equipped. The hot tub was the highlight as it's a great size. Beds are comfortable the water pressure is spot on. Only downside is that there were contractors working from 8 so disturbed the mornings.
Matthew
Bam Lodge was very comfortable and well equipped, set on lovely and well maintained grounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for us, only a short walk to Windermere. It gave us everything we could have needed for our holiday.
Chris
Outstanding accommodation , would highly recommend , we enjoyed a fantastic week in Bam Lodge.
Sandra
Lovely cottage, great location we walked into Windermere a couple of times only a 20 minute walk. Very well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Great location for walks with our lovely spaniel.
Mark
Itâ??s a lovely place in a good location. It would have been nice to have had working radiators in the bathrooms (they were stone cold along with the bathrooms) a tumble dryer that worked and a â??hotâ?? rather than lukewarm hot tub on the first evening. We complained about these on the Monday morning at 9am but nothing was done during our stay. These did spoil our enjoyment to an extent which is a shame as itâ??s potentially a great place in an amazingly beautiful area.
Laura
Everything was fabulous at Bam Lodge. All the little things thought about, dog waste bags in the courtyard, dog bowls, welcome note and gift (lovely touch), everything you may need in the kitchen. The best equipped cottage we have stayed in.
Jill
Bam lodge is in a lovely location with plenty of walks in the area, long or short for your dog. The lodge itself was spotless and spacious with all the equipment that you would need and the bottle of wine and sweets left was a nice gesture. Would definitely book again.
James
Excellent. Cottage could not be faulted. Loved the shower after a day away. 10 out of 10.
Lyndsey
Beautiful location, nice and quiet. Easy access to towns/amenities and so many places to hike and explore
Sharon
The cottage is nice and modern with good comfy furniture and nice enclosed garden for dogs but the road or very narrow lane with dry stone walling each side going to the property is a nightmare! If you drive a large car or 4 x 4 You will not enjoy this road. We would not book this property again because of the road and the cottage seems very cold even in Summer because it doesnâ??t seem to get much light or sun in there. Bring your own dish cloth! They donâ??t provide one or any tea or coffee pods. The Hot tub is nice but we actually found it too hot. Trying to get the heating to work in the cottage is hit and miss. The weather for our week was really bad, rained almost every day and we needed some warmth in the cottage to dry our clothes and warm up. The welcome pack could be a lot better.
Denise
Could not get heating on in lounge and on towel rail in main bedroom, gets a bit chilly as property is in the shade
Michael
Wonderful stay at a lovely lodge
Jane
We had a brilliant time relaxing in Bam Lodge. There was everything we could have hoped for and more.
Alexandra
Absolute gem of a place. Had the most amazing time here for christmas. Rebooked to come again in september before we he had finished our holiday. By far the best property we have stayed at.
