Lucy’s Lodge, Threlkeld

We mostly enjoyed our holiday in Threlkeld, and in general we had a nice time exploring the fantastic local area. However, we had a few issues during our stay in the lodge that we would like to report.First, the hot tub stopped working and we were unable to use it on our last evening. There was a burnt smell near the plug, that we immediately reported, but it did not get fixed until the following day.The bathroom also had multiple problems:- the shower doors were broken: they did not slide properly and the seals fell off.- the shower had a touch screen that did not work, and some electrical cables were appearing at the top of the shower door. It made us question the electrical safety of the installation.- the ventilation did not work, making the room uncomfortably humid and leaving the floor dangerously wet and slippery.- the towel dryer did not work, which was inconvenient considering only one towel was provided for both the shower and the hot tub.Other minor cosmetic issues were found, such as a non-working lamp (although this was fixed the day following reporting), and the kitchen lamp being a bare neon, which felt unfinished.Overall, the lodge appeared a bit run down and did not meet the standard we expected for the price we paid. Despite this, we did greatly enjoy the surroundings and had a lovely stay in the lake district.

2nd time this year at this lodge and had a great time.Perfect for a base for Hiking etc with the luxury of a nice hot tubTV has betflix and Prime and WiFi is good.See you later in the year!
