Birch lodge was superb, very comfortable and homely and cleanliness was top notch. Hot tub was cleaned daily and grounds were well maintained. Chickens and peacocks roaming freely and 3 alpacas on site were stunning. Not much in the area but only a short drive to local shops and supermarkets in ulverston. Had a great day out in bowness but recommended parking at lakeside and getting the ferry as the views are spectacular. If I return to the lakes again I would definitely stay at dale Garth again

Lodge spotless, easy booking and contact, lovely view, hot tub so relaxing, everything in lodge you could need, quiet and peaceful, Lost to do, we did Segway, pottery painting, Gin tasting, visited Morecambe for the beach, You also have your morning visitors of Alpaca's, chickens and beautiful Peacocks. An overall amazing week and just what was needed to relax and switch off.Would definitely recommend and will be back.If I had to score would give 10/10
