The Old Vicarage Reviews

We had a wonderful long weekend as a family at The Old Vicarage. It is set in stunning grounds that was secure for our dog to exercise in off lead whilst keeping a close eye on him. The house was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped for everything we needed. It was particularly cosy in the open plan kitchen diner with the Aga going and we played some of the board games that were available to us at the big table. The children enjoyed the cinema room and playing on the Nintendo Switch which was also available to use. The whole house is beautifully decorated and very spacious with comfortable beds. We hope to visit again for future family gatherings. Thank you very much, we highly recommend this place!
Beautiful, spacious house with pretty much everything you could wish for including character, fabulous!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS ! ! The Old Vicarage is an absolute gem of a place and we are so glad to have found it. The house is beautiful with lovely decor, huge rooms, lots of space and a very tranquil feel to it. The gardens are lovely and very peaceful. The owners are also brilliant and helped us out with a small issue we had whilst there nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall we cannot recommend this house highly enough we did not want to leave. It truly is stunning and you will not be disappointed. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Wow, we were so so impressed with The Old Vicarage. It is hands down the best cottage we've stayed in! The pictures are very accurate and it really is absolutely stunning. The kitchen was amazing, and we had everything we needed for our two week stay, so well equipped with herbs, spices and other ingredients available to use. The garden and ground are incredible! Lots of space and very well cared for. It was fully secure and our two dogs enjoyed themselves a lot. Although a semi detached house, we couldn't hear the neighbours at all and it felt very private. The owners were lovely and we really liked the fact that they got in touch with us ahead of our stay. They were very responsive throughout, and even helped us find someone local to fix our car. All in all, it was a fantastic holiday and we look forward to our next visit!

This is a very well proportioned house which has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and furnished. As the village is not a short cut, there is minimal traffic and our two weeks were lovely and quiet at all times. The triple aspect garden is sunny all day and perfect for dogs and children to run around in. We enjoyed our two weeks immensely and look forward to staying again at sometime in the future.
The property and grounds were beautiful. Beds were extremely comfortable. Facilities were perfect for our family. Everything you could possibly need for your stay. Situated in a quiet village. Local shop & petrol station nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Such a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The interiors were sublime and to such high quality. The kitchen was very well equipped. A homely feel in a tranquil setting. Lots of little pubs dotted around the area with lovely food and friendly staff. Would definitely book again.
We had a lovely long weekend stay at The Old Vicarage. The property was charming, clean, spacious & very well equipped! The welcome basket was out of this world the butter was exceptional! We spent most of our time playing games in the garden. So many places to hide for hide n seek & so much space for running around & letting off steam. We even fitted in an evening bbq! The cinema room was cosy & great for unwinding with a film or video game. The house felt homely & was beautifully decorated throughout. Some lovely touches herbs & spices, tea & coffee, to name but a few. We definitely have a budding 7 year old pianist in the making who made good use of the piano. Great sized tables & chairs, inside & out, perfect for a family of 8 to gather round & eat or play board games. The only thing I missed was a washing line or whirligig I even brought pegs, but the tumble dryer was most welcome. I would like to thank Anna, the host, & her family for making us feel welcome. A truly lovely stay!
